Advantages of Air Fryer
1. Almost no oil needed
The biggest selling point of an air fryer is frying with little or no oil. French fries and other favorite appetizers (chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, croquettes, dumplings, etc.) either use only a small amount of oil to coat the food, or not at all. This way, you can consume less bottled oil and total calories, which can help with weight loss.
Here's a quick health note: While a tablespoon of oil is obviously better than a quart, it's better for your health to avoid cooking in bottled oil whenever possible.
For example, heated vegetable oil can increase the risk of heart disease, especially when the oil is repeatedly reheated, as is the case with commercial fryers in restaurants. To avoid these risks, it is best to air fry without oil.
2. Food cooks fast
Air frying is also quick and easy compared to frying, and in fact any other cooking method other than microwaves (for more information on the pros and cons of microwaves, click here).
Because many models do not require preheating like convection or conventional ovens, they reduce cooking time. This is especially true when you're cooking frozen meals, such as pre-cut chips and vegetables. You can chop veggies and other foods, or just toss in frozen veggies. A bag of frozen broccoli or cauliflower can be turned into a delicious grilled side dish in minutes.
